Every station begins with a careful reading of the place it will stand. Our field engineers visit the proposed site and build a full picture of the radio environment before any equipment is ordered. We record the horizon mask in all directions, noting treelines, parapets, lift rooms and any structure that could fall inside the first Fresnel zone at the intended elevation. We photograph the mounting options, measure the available pad area and confirm that a safe cable route exists from the antenna position to the equipment room.

Spectrum planning follows the physical survey. Using a calibrated receiver we sweep the bands under consideration and log the noise floor, any existing carriers and any intermittent interference. This sweep tells us which frequency plan is viable and which orbital slots will clear the obstructions we found. We then nominate azimuth, elevation and polarisation and issue a written pointing plan that the installation crew will work to. Commissioning is the sequence that proves the whole chain works. We bring up the indoor equipment in order, from modem through upconverter and block upconverter to the antenna feed, checking each interface as we go. Every downlink carrier is acquired and its symbol rate, coding and receive level are compared against the plan. The uplink is then stepped up carefully, watching for interference and confirming that the spacecraft sees the expected power before the carrier is authorised for service.

We loop test each link end to end, measuring latency, jitter and packet loss so that the customer knows what the station will actually deliver. Where a service depends on a particular quality of service, we configure the shaping and priority rules and then verify them with real traffic. The output of this stage is a commissioning record that documents every setting, every measurement and every deviation from the plan. Capacity on a satellite link is a commercial asset and it should be measured like one. Our SLA management service translates the agreement into station parameters that can be observed: committed information rate, availability target, maximum outage allowance and restoration time. We then report against those parameters on a fixed cadence, using data drawn from the same monitoring platform that watches the hardware.

Because the technical and commercial views come from one source, disputes are settled with evidence rather than memory. If a partner believes a link underperformed, we can show the receive level, the weather at the time and the modem state for the exact window in question. We also forecast capacity needs as traffic grows, recommend when to widen a carrier, and coordinate changes with the spacecraft operator.
